Power Scriptures.

So at last weeks fireside the speaker talked about her Power Scriptures.

Scriptures that really stand out and help out with different situations in life.

So, I took her advice and I've started writing down my power scriptures.

Usually I like a scripture, so I mark it.. then find it a month later and say, "oh ya!"

So I decided this way is so much better. I have a book where I write down the full scripture,

where it's found, and the date I found it.

TRY THIS!

Every night when I find more and write them down, I go over all

of my old ones I wrote down so I don't forget them. I want to start to memorize them

so I won't even need this book when I'm going through hard times or different situations.

I've also started to post them on twitter every night so other people can

see them.. like in church everyone read their power scriptures and guess what..

I related to ALL of them. (most people do) so I figured, why not

share them with my friends every night so that they can get a new power scripture as well!

So, if you get on twitter the topic I use is #powerscripture

look it up! so far there are only 2 or 3... but trust me.. there will be more. haha

Everyone try writing them down. It really has changed the way I read my scriptures

and has helped so much more than I thought it ever could!

Also, life in Cedar is sooo great. I am super busy and love it all.

Andrew has come to visit me a few times.. he came up last night

and it was sooo great! I met a few of his friends, and Conner came over and we all just hung

out and were funny! haha

and I got to see some Desert Hills Cheerleaders up here at a girls basketball game

and I get to see the rest of the cheerleaders and all of my friends in the student section AND

playing basketball tomorrow! I couldn't be more excited to see all of them.

Plus I'm in a Jazz class and first off, I'M ALWAYS SO SORE!

and second, I've met some way great friends and I'm so happy about it.

I've also been getting to know my new roommate and some of her friends better

and it's so awesome. I'm so blessed with the people that come into my life!

and to end, Photography is going great. I feel like I'm taking pictures so often

whether it's for fun, for class or for SUUSA. I'm also blessed in the way that

people are SO nice and want me to get better and are helping me out.

We're learning film... that is a picture of my first roll I've ever taken and

developed.. only 6 pictures turned out.. but WHO CARE! I did it!! woo!!

I have to get ready for school... I've been so lazy today. but NEXT TIME

so happy. This was Christmas Eve and the

girl didn't go to sleep until 1:00 AM!

Paisley is taking after her Aunt Lexi.

This was my first Christmas without Miki.

Don't get me wrong, I missed Keesha, Brandon, Cage, Jen, Ky

Sadie and Saylin a TON. But i'm used to them either not being there,

or being in another room.

But for 17 years I've slept in the same bed with Miki on Christmas Eve

and we stayed up most hours of the night talking about Christmas and

making ourselves just to wake up at 5:00 Am to open presents until our

parents made us sleep for another hour.

This year I saw Christmas before I even went to sleep. That's weird for me.

Then I went to sleep and woke up at 7:00 because everyone else was up

making noise.... I could have slept straight through Christmas!!

WEIRD feeling. Growing up I mean.. oh well. Can't stop that!

Anyways, Christmas was great. I got to spend it with my parents,

Sister Genis and her family and my grandparents. I've never seen kids

so excited to see what Santa brought them. Cutest thing ever.

Now get to know me. Because it's been awhile...

I'm a student at SUU.

I'm a studio art major.

{Why? I haven't taken a painting or drawing class and I am

totes not staying here all 20 years of college so I probably won't even

major at SUU.. but uhh..soon to be Photography..

student? maybe major..cool}

I have dark brown hair with a skunk stripe.

I don't know why.. but why not?

I have recently, and unfortunately become one of the girls who plans

her unrealistic wedding on pinterest.

It's not my fault there are a million cute couples and married

people around me. can't wait until that day when I join in on the fun.

But I guess I have so many important things to do until then.. so it can hold off.

The last little fact about me..

I'm also very naive. and the worst part is.. I didn't even know I was so naive.

Maybe I'm the only one.. but it finally hit me how the world works.

People will hate me for no reason. People will hate me because I'm a

certain way, or because I'm NOT a certain way.

People will hate me because of things they THOUGHT I've done

or they'll hate me for things I have done and didn't even realize I was doing.

and holy crack! that concept caused me a LOT of grief over my Christmas break

until a few nights ago I just realized.. out of no where

that who the heck cares?

Actually I care. And I need to work on my

attitude problems and being nice. I feel like when I was younger I cared so

much if people liked me so I would try to please everyone.. in my opinion

I think that was great of me. haha and now... I've become sooo careless.

Which also has it's ups.. but a bigger down. I don't care if

people like my clothes, or my art, or my hair or any stupid thing

(which is an UP)

.. but I also don't care if they like me.

Which is awful of me. I should care! I should constantly

be watching my actions and making sure I'm nice to people and alllll

of that important stuff!

In church today we talked about living what we believe.

We read from a book from the teachings of George Albert Smith and he

had 11 ideals that he committed to live by.. we traded off reading and this was his ideal that I read:

"I would not knowingly wound the feelings of any, not even one who may have wronged me,

but would seek to do him good and make him my friend"

wake up call! right? I don't think it was just a coincidence I read that one...

and to go even farther.. the other day I read this;

"Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved."

I think my Heavenly Father needed to wake me up a bit.

I've been blessed with more than I could ever deserve.

back to living what I believe.. Later in the book it reads;

"Our obedience to the gospel- not just our church membership-qualifies us to be called Saints"

Hi Lexi. Saying I'm LDS doesn't mean I have a free ticket to

any great thing I want.. It means I believe in the Latter Day Saint gospel.

My OBEDIENCE to the gospel is what qualifies me to be a saint. and in my opinion

qualifies me to claim to be LDS and express what I believe.

I have to work my hardest now! I should never be ok

with being OK. I'm not into the whole resolution thing...

BUT I'm trying it out this year. no certain ones. just making myself better

in the places I lack. Especially in the kindness area.

In 1 John 4:19 it says;

We love him, because he first loved us.

what an excellent example right? We love God because he loved us first.

What if we love someone first? Maybe.. just maybe if I try with all my heart

to love every person I meet.. and I meant truly love them. Not

just think they're pretty, or fun, but actually love them like the way I love my family.

NO MATTER WHAT.

No matter what goes on in my family.. I can't help but love them.

{Of course my family is easy to love.. I am fortunate.}

Everyone has heard the quote that goes something like..

If you stop loving them is wasn't love in the first place..

so yeah.. I mean real love.

ANYWAYS

MAYBE

If I love everyone I meet, maybe something great could come of it.

Maybe I'll feel happier and never feel sorry for myself and the

situations I have to deal with.

It's worth a try right?

So. here's what's happening.

HATE is no longer in my vocabulary.

It's an over used word that means nothing but negative, strong emotions that I don't really feel, and have never felt.

LOVE is a word I'm going to use more of.

Most people think it's over used.. and to be honest.. I think that's the opposite of what it is.

Just because I LOVE YOU doesn't mean I'm IN love with you.

I don't think I should ever be ashamed of telling someone I love them like I do sometimes feel.

so many people in my life have such amazing qualities that make up for the

qualities I don't have and that is something I love.

Those qualities build character.. and that makes me love their character.

{P.S. this post just became my journal I realized. take it or leave it.}

eh anyways.

college. starts. today.

[it's now 2 AM.. sorry mom]

I'm motivated.

I'm excited.

I feel like something in me just switched..

Although the cold still gives me a little depression,

It's like my insides just flipped upside down.

I'm happy to be in Cedar.

There. I said it.

I have missed some of the greatest opportunities in high school, and in college.

I've made a million mistakes I wish I could take back

(I know, I know "Never wish to take back mistakes because they make you who you

are and they teach you lessons... lalalala")

Well guess what. I wish I could take them back.

And me wishing I could take them back has made me depressed.

I mean.. maybe not really depressed, but it's made me want to have a pity party

for myself way too often.

But the last two days in Cedar hanging out with Emma, Mikey and

even some new friends I've made and also going to my OWN ward has made me happy.

Maybe even in a little bit more time it can make me just as happy as I am when I

am in St. George.

This transition has been very hard for me. I can honestly say that

my first semester was one of the hardest and worst things I've ever had to go

through. I felt like nothing I did made me happy. I went home every

weekend to be with my family and my best and closest friends rather than

making friends in the town I ACTUALLY lived in. I knew it wasn't

the right thing for me to do.. but it was the only thing that made my stomach not hurt

and my eyes not cry. HAHA. (I'm so sorry mom for all the late night phone calls.)

Now that I just typed that and admitted that I hope it wasn't premature.

I mean, I'm not a changed person already. haha

So. here I am.

A 18 year old living on her own 45 minutes from home.

Ready to go to school and get better at math,

ready to study diversity in difference cultures, religions and races,

ready to take a 3 hour photography class twice a week and become THE best at it.

And last but not least..

ready to become closer to my Heavenly Father because that's what is making

me happy here in Cedar.

Becoming closer to my Heavenly Father is what gives me motivation,

helps me make friends, and gives me a reason to feel important.

Hope everyone finds what makes them happy.

I hope everyone figures out their priorities and takes the time to

LOVE people. Do it with me ok? It'll help me out a ton.

It's been a million days almost. But I decided to have motivation

and update you few people with my life.

I feel like it's been soo long that I'm completely unorganized

and I don't even know where to start.

First, my pictures are completely out of order

and Second, they are out of date which may cause you to be bored.

But most of them mostly just feel necessary to show my life as

of lately. Let us begin.

Uh my best friend Kirby is the sweetest ever. I received this

little guy on FB. He's just kind. ^

This little Koala just so happens to be my power animal.

What are the chances that as I'm going through my moms old

jewelry I find I gold pin with my one and only Panimal on it?

Fate. Destiny?

My power animal gets me. ^

I have the cutest kids in my life. They're prob one of the biggest

reasons I LOVE to go home every single weekend.

Isn't my dad the coolest? He thought I was texting while

following him in his truck.. no. I just wanted to show off my

rad dad. I love him so much. ^

So me and my parents went up to the state football game for

DHHS! SO COLD!! I'm a St. George girl. It's official.

(So why the heck am I in Cedar? Good question)

Photos, Photos, Photos. They equal my life these days.

And I could NOT be more happy. It so much fun.

I'm not good at being a photographer though. Which is

pretty unfortunate how things work.

For example.. I know I'm not the most talent cheerleader,

but I can work with people and teach people dances

with my eyes closed. But the thing is.. I don't care about cheer..

but I could do it as a job last summer and I was fine at it..

Then there's photography.

I LOVE TAKING PICTURES and doing creative things

and editing them. but OH MAN when it comes to taking peoples photos

and me taking charge and telling them where to go...

I become a whole new shy Lexi. Weirdest thing ever.

So, that's my biggest thing I'm overcoming right now. Can't wait

until the day I'm a pro and you guys never even knew that

I struggled with it. What a happy day!

Going to college for art has REALLY made me love it even more.

I can't imagine doing any other thing with my life.

I've met amazing people who have helped me get deeper

into photography. I always loved it.. but I thought I would go more

down the painting and drawing road. Once school actually got started though,

I knew photography was the path. For now at least.

I've gotten more brave and made a photography page on

Facebook! Help me get more photography jobs and

What of it?

It was just a giant party. not giant actually.. but really fun.

Three rules to the party: (that weren't followed at all)

1. Must have a mustache on.

2. Must have your shirt tucked in.

3. Once you enter the dancing room you cannot stop.

It was a good time. Glad we made it out to the event.

Also, my mustache is a disgrace to mustaches and I apologize.

Just the tradition. Nothing to sweet. ^

These two girls are moving up to UVU. SAD DAY.

The upside? Me and Laura get their room which is bigger..

Is it worth it? Not at all. They're a few of my closest friends

and I don't appreciate them moving. I'm going to miss

Kins opening the nasty hot sauce for me every time.

I'm going to miss the jokes about being the exact same person,

naps on her bed, and her sweet spirit, Always finding the good in everyone.

Ah, Shy. (Top photo) I'm going to miss her willingness to do anything for everyone.

Her mountain Dew highs that led to her cleaning the kitchen spotless every

night. I'm going to miss her knowing EVERY single thing that happens

with the body and knowing about every illness possible (she's our nurse-to-be)

and I'm going to ESPECIALLY miss her being the D.J belting and dancing to every song.

I got to stop. I'm going to cry. haha. 2:30 AM makes emotions worse too I think.

But I'll do a whole post for them.

I am a marshmallow. It's the worst.

that's the face I make every morning. Cause guess what?

When it's ZERO degrees I want to cry. but I hold it together

in my big, warm puffy coat.

We got our map started at home in St. George!

Everyone in the family is putting a pin where they've been in the world.

Miki is winning so far. But just wait.. I'll catch up.

I'm the blue pins, she's yellow. everyone else is slacking.

I'm pretty sure they've done some since I've been home though.

It's such a fun thing to have hanging!

AHH College life has been crazy. I got a job.

I'm a dance instructor at Club Sweat. WOO!

The first question people ask me when they find out is..

"You dance?!"

I'm pretty sure I should take offense to that. But I totally don't.

I'm right there with them. hahah Feels like

a million years since I've danced. But we'll see how this job goes!

If I could teach stunting, dancing, cheers, and cheer skills from

7:00 AM- 11:00 PM every day during the summer, I'm pretty

sure I can teach a dance class for three hours!

All I need is a little confidence and some people

to show up. haha I'll keep you updated!

My love for photography has grown so much lately.

I've done a ton of jobs recently and it rocks my world. It's so fun!

My computer is SLOW JOE though, so it's kind of tough to keep up

on all my projects. But I'll figure that out for sure!

Also I've heard sooo many negative things towards my decision

on my art major.

What can you do with art? Art is EASIER than ____! (fill in the blank)

You don't even have to study ever.

Is it bad it kind of hurts my feelings? haha pathetic, I know.

But I think I would die of embarrassment if I had a major in

anything else because I would fail all of my classes. haha

SO GLAD THERE IS ART IN THE WORLD!

and to be completely honest, I could care less about any other

major. I'll figure out a way to help the world without

finding the cure to cancer.

I did NOT start out very good at art. In fact, I'm still border line horrible and painting.

Photography is what i LOVE and I go to class and figure things out with it

every single day to get better and produce things I'm proud to say are mine.

I don't have to study. Thank heavens because I don't know how.

I'm perfectly fine with spending 5 hours a day editing pictures.

It's much more fun to me.

haha

ahhh now i'm just a rambling fool. Maybe i'll add more tomorrow.

But I can feel a sickness coming in my throat.

Good thing Chase Jensen isn't here to say..

As of late...

If my life was more interesting.. I could post more.

I'm having a blast, but you know.. it's kind of

the same ol' same ol'

so my post would just start repeating.

Here's a little update.. and a few phone pictures. I haven't

quite stayed up to date with pictures on my camera...

so this is as good as my update gets.

Anyways.. enough chitter chatter.

get to the good stuff!

I got on SUUSA. I'm one of the event photographers.

I'm so excited to be more involved with school. I've

been slacking on that. but even better than that..

I get to take pictures for the school! I'm more than

excited.

Ok, so this is only one picture.. but it represents

ALL of the days I decide to have a "break"

a break from what you may ask? Who knows.

but it's an excuse to sleep for 5 hours. And I love my naps.

I took the plunge and decided to purchase some

new lipstain. Mostly because it's something I've never

done. And to be honest, I don't think I'll ever do it again.

I like my Burts Bees chapstick best. I am NOT a fan of

the red lipstick trend. I love it for special events, but

it's just getting too much for me to handle. Maybe I'm just

jealous because everyone pulls it off so well. hahaha

Put anyways.. to finish this long pointless story..

I bought some. and the bottle WASN'T bright red.

SO deceiving.. and it hasn't worked since the first time I put it

on (as seen above^) Trip to return it and get some chapstick

coming soon.

Along with the red lipstain, we got clay masks. ^

Also a first time for me... (I just now noticed that my 'me' time

and whatever consists of 5 hr naps.. not the whole.. facial, pedicure

make over crack most people do. hmm. It was a fun ONE time thing..

I'll stick with naps though)

I think the funnest part was taking the pictures. Plus I just

expected to have perfect skin right when I took it off.. and since it didn't

happen, I'm donezo with that stuff. haha

Boot, boots, boots. It's freezing up here. First time wearing my

BRIGHT purple boots.(way brighter outside

in the light) I wore them to church today and it

saved me. They are probably the most warm shoes

I have. And I just figured this out after the 5 snow days we

have had so far. Darn. I'll need to remember that.

(oh P.s I got rid of my melt in my hair if you forgot what

I looked like.. now it's red/brown. The REAL Lexi is back)

Today I am so thankful for warm clothes. even Sunday clothes.

I am so blessed.

Sunday nap time. Greatest time of the week.

(that's a lie.. but it's way great, huh?)

Ok, so my feelings right now about

church, recently and well, life;

I am feeling so uplifted and hopeful today. AMAZING speakers in church and my fireside.

I haven't been to my home ward in AGES and I loved it. I love having firesides. Sometimes, I'll be honest.. it's very hard to wake myself up from a long nap and get re dressed to walk out into the cold to go to the church again.. but it's always worth it. EVERY time. I always for guilty afterwards for even THINKING about complaining about waking up and going. It's a battle i'm still fighting.

I'm also feeling blessed. On Facebook, blogs, and twitter recently I have noticed a LOT of negativity. I'm sure I've even contributed to it... but when I read other peoples negative thoughts it really gets me thinking. I've tried so hard to think of the GREAT things I have.

the simple things. No, my life is not perfect. No, I don't get everything I want. No, I don't have everything I might need. But then again.. I have too much. More than enough. I woke up this morning not afraid of anything but being late. I had an alarm wake me up, a car to get me to church, and warm clothes to keep out the awful wind. I have two rings on my finger, and a necklace on my neck. I have a blanket on and three pillows.

Like Russell M. Nelson said today, count your blessings, including your body parts.

I'm typing this to you now! My life is so simple with hands, feet, eyes, ears, and a heart that does everything it's supposed to without me doing a single thing about it!

My Heavenly Father loves me.

He gave me an amazing family, great friends, great schooling, the gift of prayer, The Book Of Mormon and he helps me with my testimony every day.

Aren't we all blessed? Count your many blessings!

Not just because it's Thanksgiving either. Do it because it's important to

be thankful for the things we have every day that so many people don't have.

I don't just mean the people in 3rd world countries either. You never know

what people around you might be lacking. Friends, neighbors, peers..

We don't know who's struggling. Be thankful you're not, and help those who are.

I believe with ALL of my heart that it is not our place to judge who deserves help

and who doesn't.

Let's all try a little harder to be a little better.

P.S. When I write all of this stuff out.. It's usually just for me.

I need to work on this stuff a LOT. so do it with me, ya?

This is my goal. Life goal I guess. But especially during this

holiday season. I'm going to help someone who needs it.

Because there are

millions of people who do.

He's one of the greatest people I know.

I'd trust him with my life.

Here are a few reasons why he's my best friend:

1. He made a promise to text/call/heytell/fb me every day since

May 23rd and he's kept his promise.

2. He is very respectful.. to everyone.

3. He is hilarious.

4. He's chill, and just likes to chill..

doesn't have to be doing something all the time.

5. He is always in a GREAT mood.

always, always.

6. He is not shy.. he puts up with my crazy fun

family and love them.

7. He doesn't talk bad about people.

8. He never lies.. he always says things how they are.

9. He sticks up for me and watches out for me..

example;

"You can't watch that.. it's bad"

10. He's just my best friend ever..

and he's just me in boy form.. twins.. it's great.

We just get each other.

1. It's hard to find pictures of her because she is ALWAYS

the one behind the camera.

2. She calls you or texts you EVERY day to make sure things are OK.

3. She waits up for you when you're out .

4. She makes dinner every night for whoever is home..

whether it's 3 people (Mon-Sat) or 25 (Sunday)

5.She stays up until 3 AM just listening to you cry on the phone.

6. She tells you the truth- not just what you want to hear.

7. She welcomes everyone into her home- no judgments.. EVER.

8. She loves the gospel and shows it every single day of her life.

9. She is always serving others.. literally.. all the time.. non stop service.

10. She always gives the best hugs at the best times.

11. She loves doing fun things and being adventurous.

12. She always is sooo generous with her time.

13. She supports every single thing you do... full out support.

14. She is HILARIOUS.

15. She is beautiful. Everything about her is gorgeous.

Even her personality.. Everyone loves her to death.. not just her family.

Answered Prayer

I had my prayers answered.

To be completely honest... I can't say it's exactly what

I prayed for... but it was the answer to what I

SHOULD have been praying for in the first place.

Just telling you now.. This is a spiritual post.

I've had SUCH a hard time lately.

that's why I haven't posted until recently.

I start writing a post and they are all AWFUL. haha

so glad I never posted them. they'd be embarrassing to

read now...

ANYWAYS.

enough about me, and more about the great things

I have in my life.

So tonight, Laura gets a letter from my dear

"brother"

Elder Christian 'Paco' Clayton.

In the inside, there was the most pleasant of

all surprises. a little note that looked like this;

He hasn't forgotten me. even though I have been a

terrible writer, one of my greatest friends didn't

forget me.

and more than not forgetting me...

he knew EXACTLY what I needed to hear.

let me first say that I am SO grateful to have

people in my life so spiritually in tune with the spirit

that they can answer my prayers, even another country

This is a part of what he wrote me;

So, after reading all of that, I just knew it was an answer to my prayer..

BUT it didn't end there. 3:00 AM rolls around, and right when I'm about to shut my eyes and

sleep, I decided to check twitter. And a friend posted this video ;

I hope ya know we had a hard time.

The Lord works in mysterious ways. but I do know one thing-

He does answer prayers.

and even more than that..

He blesses us when we haven't even asked for it. Maybe or maybe not

I deserved both of those answers today.. but I got them because my Heavenly Father

is so loving. And I'm so grateful that I have a testimony to even recognize the

blessings I receive. I'm so SO grateful for my friends who did two things that

probably felt of no worth today.. they helped me more than they will know.

I absolutely love this gospel and the happiness and peace that comes

right along with it. I don't think I could get through school without it.

Actually.. I know I couldn't.

I don't know why I felt the need to post this at 3:30 AM.

I don't know if it will mean anything to anyone..

and if it doesn't.. then just re-watch the video.. there are a million things

in that video that could change lives.

Do a little more good today for someone else. forget yourself.

I promise I'm going to try and do it as well.

Maybe my problems will shrink 8 sizes by seeing what other people

have to deal with in their lives, and figuring out how I can help them.

Who the heck am I?!

I just watched Father of the Bride.

and yes..

I cried.

I thought college was hard leaving these two-

getting married is going to be 3450234895734 times harder seems like.

I'm ok will staying a little kid forever

as long as I get to keep the 2 BEST parents in the whole world.

I'm so excited to go home tomorrow, then spend a

WHOLE 7 days with them, and my family in

St. George and California.

I am SO blessed to have these two people in my life.

They are the closest thing to perfect I know.

I miss them every day and I'm only 45 minutes away.

Love you mom and dad.

Me and my roommates are becoming WAY close. It's great. It's weird to think you have "best friends" in high school.. I mean I DO still have a few best friends from last year... but I can tell these friends from college will be life long. (forever long) We're all in the same stage.. easier to be friends. we aren't going to just separate. It's nice.

So many great memories I have with my dad.

Just have to share a few things I love about him..

He's hilarious. Has a great sense of humor.

He loves doing new things. traveling, eating weird food..

whatever it is.. he's up for it with me.

He plays hard until he crashes.

No reason to rest until we have to right?

He likes cool things.

He find everything cool and interesting.

I'm so grateful for that about him. He helps me

see the good in everything, and see how

fabulous the world is.

My dad just plain old loves me.

Never had a doubt about that once.

He rocks. Everything he does.. he rocks at it.

and looks the coolest while doing it.

He's the best grandpa ever.

He's either worried about them,

or he's playing with them non stop.

Either way, he cares so much about them and loves

every ounce of those kids.

My dad is SMART. he knows about

everything. how to fix things, Religion, money, how

to work hard, how to deal with people..everything.

and not only is he the smartest guy ever..

He knows how to TEACH. I never knew a better

teacher.

don't for get the fast food... obviously it was a horrible day.

That was after not sleeping for two days.

Talk about a wreck. I didn't even make food.

I haven't eaten any fast food since I've lived here and I broke down.

Then right after I ate, I took a long nap. and when I woke up I

felt like I had the flu. just hot, sweaty and thought I was going to throw up.

So odd.

But I concluded that I am a person who needs sleep.

I am going to start listening to my body more.

This was the same night when I was sick... There was a tight party.

I just love SUU. there are so many activities all the time.

There was tons of free, yummy food

(So I hear.. I felt sick so I didn't eat)

Balloons, decorations, bands playing and big old lights

everywhere. Then the president did a firework show

to music. it was pretty rad. Finale and everything.

It was the best. Me and Laura just danced crazy and

everyone stared, laughed, made fun or joined.

It was worth every second.

Football games.

oh my football games.

I haven't sat in the crowd since 9th grade..

IT'S THE BEST EVER!!

We just were sooo loud and danced crazy

and it was the best! I love the school spirit here.

It totally is just like Desert Hills, but better.

College foot.. game.. footgame...

is the best. They also have a hug screen

and they just do a flexing cam, or a kissing cam

and it's the best. Seriously. I didn't even know

what I was missing out on when I went to

STG instead of the first game.

After the game we went to the dance. sooo fun.

except it was only kind of fun because dances aren't really my thing.

BUT. It was fun dancing crazy cause people

just think we are the weirdest people ever..

which we totally are... but people judge hard.

and it's HILARIOUS.

After the dance some friends who live next door

took us to Krave which was a fun way to end the night.

What a fabulous Homecoming week.

Didn't even realize how much more FUN college is

than high school. It's taken me exactly a month and a day

to figure it out.. but at least I did.

Time to pass out and get prepped for another great week.

Oh here I am.

Just brought a few updates with me.

1. I got my tooth fixed. no more pain.

2. I got to spend Tuesday in St. George

with all my cheerleader girls helping them out

with stunting.

3. I've lost my motivation to be a cook.

That's a lie.. I lost my motivation

to go to Walmart alone every week.

4. Me and Laura are now friends with

our roommates. It took a little while..

but we are DEF friends and I love them.

5. I went on a date last night.. Loved every second of

it. Everyone is Cedar is SO fun. well, the fun ones

are at least.

For our date we mostly just hung out. we went on

so many random, fun adventures and it was great.

It was a group date and the guy I went with is named Lance.

Such a fun story of how we met..

I've ran into him two times and we met briefly

but then on Sunday him and his friend Dallan came

by to give us homecoming week information.

I heard Laura down stairs chatting forever so I

decided I'd go down and say hi. After Re-meeting again

we chatted for awhile and they felt comfortable

enough to tell us their thought process before knocking

on our door. They had one information sheet left

so they were decided between us and our next-door-neighbors

which door to knock on and give it to. They decided

to knock on our neighbors door because we

have a wreath on our door and they thought

we would be old. After having that whole discussion we invited

them in to write on our chalk board. Laura told them to

write our numbers and then we felt SO awkward like

we were forcing them to be our friends. BUT it wasn't

quite like that for them.. they decided we were cool

enough (Laura was cool enough because she is so outgoing)

that they would sing for us. So they drove clear back to the school

to get their ukulele to sing to us. What fun guys!

then they made us sing... no good. haha

We've been friends ever since then!

{yep, a whole 4 days}

and they are just the funnest ever.

Such a great story, right? The greatest part

is that they took the time to decided which

door to knock on.

haha such boys.

ANYWAYS. I did something crazy this week.

I dyed my hair.

Bailey Richardson fixed my melt, and keesh cut

my bangs. also.. I put pink and blue in it.

random huh? well it's already fading a ton.

I ordered some pink, purple and

blue hair dye and it'll be back in

no time. I'll post pictures when it happens.

Also I'm SO glad Bai fixed my hair.

tonight I wore my hair straight for the first time since

July when I first melted it. woo woo!

N-E-WAYZ:

First, I woke up TIRED and had the biggest Asian eyes

of my whole life... and I wore my asian bun.

Then I realized I'm an idiot and didn't

get my art work printed in St. George this weekend,

so I had to go get it printed before my art class.

I could NOT find that store. who knew a tiny

town could be SO confusing. I made like 10

circles and passed it a thousand times.

So I got it printed, had to pay a fee for it

being a weird shape, a fee for a down payment,

and a fee for each copy THEN a fee for her to

cut it because I'm a college student and don't have

anywhere to cut it!

cool.

Once I got home It hit me how stupid I was for not checking,

and she printed two of the same thing, and I was missing

one so I had to go right back in, and I made 3 more wrong

turns.

FINALLY got that taken care off

and I got home to take a nap...

SCARIEST DREAM OF MY LIFE.

Me and Laura got taken.

and the people wanted us to stay forever

in the new community they created...

I woke up crying a little and was tearing up just telling

my mom over the phone!!

once I finally woke up from that, It was 1:06

my class starts at 1 and I was in

sweats and my hair was everywhere.

I ended up getting IN my class at 1:30.

cooool, a half hour late.

Not to mention I'm struggling with motivation to get to

my photography and art class because I learned all

of it in high school so far

{good job Desert Hills teachers}

BUT. now I'm home, I've eaten and I'm getting

my homework done.. well, after this..

then I can nap and do whatever I feel like.

To be honest, today wasn't even that bad,

I've had a pretty good day. just a bad streak this morning.

I love Mondays, right?

Instead of my roast and potatoes taking 4 hours it took

10 hours.. We finally just decided to eat it anyways..

and while I was cutting the roast up... I realized I left the

thick plastic on the bottom of the whole roast..

SMOOTH move.

It's whatev though because it tasted great.

(steak my mom completely prepared for me before hand)

N-E-WAYS

this week has been fabulous.

Only 4 days of school, and no History all week,

which meant sleeping in however long I liked..

which is FAB all over again.

I feel like I should have more to say.. but I don't.

1. I went running today.

MAYBE THAT WAS ALL I NEEDED TO GET ME

MOTIVATED!! but we'll see...

2. I'm coming home tomorrow for the football game.

and breakfast at my home, with my

And I don't currrr. I do what I want.

ok i just joke.

But when I'm with my family for a whole weekend I don't

feel the need to post.. mostly cause they are 98% of my readers..

so that would just be stupid of me.

Here's a little update about my hip college life

that's rockin.

This is just a cute little addition ^

It's just our chalk board. with every chalk marker known

to man. Also it's got some very personal info on it.

If you want our phone numbers I guess you'll have to

come be our friends and read our chalk board.

or not. I don't really care too much.

mostly cause everyone who reads this is in STG... soooo.. bye.

I got a dang cute nephew this week. Cage is the sweetest little boy.

9 LBS 9 Ounces. look at that kid go!! he's going to be a stud.

I had to post this. Laura got the moment perfect. she held

the camera up and before she took it I said, "Here's me doing

what I do best." and she was like, uhhhh "naming the picture before it's

taken?!!" then I laughed. and we got a kodak moment.

In all honesty, this really was a funny story in real life.

But I guess you had to be there.

This night ^ we had a movie night.

I think I was the only one actually watching... but it was

GREAT! sketched the whole night and watched

Limitless. It was the best.

and to end all of those fun moments..... I went to St. George for a whole weekend.

it's the best place in the world.

I spent the whole weekend with my family and best of friends.

What's better than that?

I've been thinking about lots of stuff and I can't ever remember it.

but I think about loads of things.

like I think about going running.

or doing homework.

or going to make some new friends.

but then I just 'forget' and take long naps.

oh my heck. I have a cavity guys.

I haven't had one in forever and I forgot what the pain was like.

when I eat or drink I have to tilt my head to the left to keep anything from

touching my right side teeth.

I just realized that was a lie. I have had a cavity lately..

but not one I could feel.

Just one of those that you wonder if the dentist is making it up.

but I always believe people so I think I really got cavities.

another little update;

Me and laura went on a date tonight!

We didn't' bring a camera though.. sorry.

Kinda of boring for you all to read about a date rather than see it.

but here are a few points-

1. last minute..always exciting!

2. went bowling.. I'm still pretty dang good at it.

3. joked and laughed lots. the guys were hilarious.

4. went to a movie..

This are going fabulous.

I have my tough times. sure I'd rather be in my own house

again.

But I'm learning sooo much about myself here.

I'm learning that my mom and dad know everything.

whether they know it or not... they really do.

for example; just because it's cheap, doesn't mean

I should buy it. sometimes 1 nice thing=3432413 of the cheap version.

like I bought some Qtips. the very cheapest there is.

and they are AWFUL. they just bend. they hardly work.

Who knew?

I sat and had the discussion with my mom in Target how it's not

worth buying the Qtip brand ones. I thought 'it doesn't

matter because it's all I'll buy when I'm away anyways'

So my mom gave in the battle and let my buy the cheap ones.

uhh. she was right, I was wrong.

[that's just my little example.. obviously she knows more about

life,school and boys than Qtips.. but I'm just trying to get my

weird little point across]

I'm also learning to be outgoing. I remember the days

I would put my sparkly black and HOT pink dress on

(which was literally every other day, if not every day)

and I would talk for me and my sister. My dad called me chatter box

and motor mouth for most of my life.

I was a talker. It's kind of weird to think about now actually.

I think that stopped when I went to intermediate school

or middle school. Those were my insecure days.

Movie always out off of High School is sooo terrible and scary and

makes every teen seem so insecure.. which could be true..

but for me, High School was the best thing ever. It was intermediate

and middle school that I became so shy and cared so much of

what everyone thought.

And now, I'm still bad at being outgoing. It's hard to make friends.

But I've realized that when I go home and adults chat with me

It's very easy for me to talk to them. I don't feel like my conversations

are forced with adults like they used to be. haha.

I'm moving up in the world.

The last thing I'm learning

(the last thing i'm talking about... I'm learning thousands of things)

is patience.

That's all I'm saying.

I'll explain that more once I've gotten better at it.

as of now....

not so hot.

Seeing that it's 2:30... I 'm thinking I should consider going to bed..

there are probably a million mistakes in this blog but I am

too dang tired to read over it right now.. so try to forgive me.

ok. this is GROSS to everyone I'm sure. But it's probably my best dinner

I've had so far. Brown rice, breaded fish with lemon, red bell peppers and green olives.

I feel like if I have peppers I have to eat them. so I just threw those on there. and they actually weren't bad. I loved this. and I'm making it for dinner tonight for sure.

Things are looking up.

Besides my homework.. life is good. I wake up in the mooring being O.K

with school, rather than wanting to cry and go home. haha

(but seriously)

It's weird, because I like school. I like going to class. I learn something interesting

everyday even in the classes that aren't my favorite.. but then I feel like

the teachers give me homework that won't help me get better,

or won't teach me anything. But of course,

they know better and maybe I'll be grateful after I'm done with it.

In fact, I'm sure I will.

It's also hard because I care about being social just as much as I care about school.

which shouldn't happen. When people want to hang out until 1 I

LOVE it cause I'm used to hanging out with people my age or younger who

have curfew at 12.

But I also hate it because I have class everyday at 8. which means 6:45-7:00 wake up

to get there a little early.

Such a hard life right? no.

I just read over all that I wrote up there ^ and it's all pathetic.

I have a sister worrying about moving into their house and the baby due any day,

friends who's niece was just diagnosed with leukemia who is 2 years old,

My mom and sister who are the relief society presidents in their wards have to

worry about the well being of every single person in the whole WARD,

People in the East who are caught in terrible weather conditions

and SO many other things.

and i'm talking about my struggles of school and social life.

Whether it's school, sickness, death, stress, or anything..

I'm so grateful to know that I have the gospel.

Every trial happens for a reason and I can handle them.

Like I mentioned just right up there ^ one of my best friends niece has Leukemia.

Her name is Taleah Stevenson and she's 2 1/2. She is such a darling girl.

This little girl is just amazing herself, but she has an amazing family.

Kind to everyone, supportive to everyone, and just a fun family.

I don't there is one person that could be around any one of them,

the Orr side, or the Stevenson side and say something negative.

They are all such fabulous people who are in need of some prayers, love and support.

Pray for Taleah.

when I take an hour to post something the mood changes and

different things come up that I feel like I need to write about.
